Unbeaten Under 21’s
Unbeaten, free-scoring and on their way to the UEFA under 21 championships in Czech Republic, the England under 21’s football team qualified in style for this summer’s Euro Finals. The team will be oozing confidence as they enter the championships having totally dominating Group 1 in the qualifying stages.
Now England have to focus on the preparations for the 8-team tournament in June and will undoubtedly be chomping at the bit to get back out onto the pitch and show the rest of Europe what they can do.
It is an enviable situation that most managers can only wish for so early on in the championships. Many of these highly skilled players will inevitably be rewarded for their impressive performances and earn the chance to play for the senior team as they look to qualify for Euro 2016. If the best XI are chosen to play in Czech Republic this summer then the firepower up front and the rock solid defence will be a significant threat to Europe’s finest U21 teams.
The future of the England Under 21’s set-up certainly looks bright, and the footballing industry needs to sit up and take notice of this highly talented team in 2015.
